Dr. Rickards has been a family dentist for over 20 years and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. This means that aside from the specialized services mentioned in this website, we at Concept Dental Centre do provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
We encourage our patients to value their oral and general health through information and example. In saying this, we do all we can to teach the youngest of children the value of good dental hygiene and care. The steps taken today will benefit your child's health tomorrow. Simple things like regular brushing, flossing and general care will in the long term save you both money and time.

Dental Hygiene
At Concept Dental Centre our dental hygienists are not trained to "just clean teeth". Dr. Rickards believes in training our hygienists to expand their knowledge base, therefore making their jobs considerably more interesting and challenging while providing our patients with a greater variety of services.
They assist Dr. Rickards with services such as the fitting of snoring appliances, in the management of TMJ splints, tooth whitening, and intra-oral photographic tours of the mouth to better show patients potential problem areas.
As discussed in other areas of this website, Dr. Rickards feels very strongly about the use of magnification in Dentistry. We feel that the better we can see, the better job we will be able to provide you.
As a result, all of the hygienists at Concept Dental Centre use magnification loupes. In the picture at right you can see one of our hygienists using their loupe while performing a task. What may be invisible to the human eye in most cases can be seen and remedied through the use of magnification loupes.
